An Indonesian fisherman who is “half man half tree” has been offered new hope of recovery by an American doctor – and Vitamin A.

32-year-old Dede, who lives in a remote village in Indonesia with his two children, feared that he would be killed by the tree-like growths that cover his body.

Known locally as ‘Tree Man’ his condition has baffled local doctors for 20 years.

He has root like structures growing out of his body – branches that can grow up to 5cm a year and which protrude from his hands and feet, and welts covering his whole body.

• Satanic leaf-tailed geckos can reach a total of length of 9cm, and its range is in the central eastern side of Madagascar.
• The lizard can amazingly mimic a dead leaf, and it can coil its whole body to resemble a curled up leaf with its tail leaf shape. Its excellent camouflage skills mean it can ‘blend’ into its natural environment.
• Satanic leaf geckos get their name because they look like they have ‘horns’ and some specimens have red eyes.
• Two eggs are laid and hatch after 60 to 70 days.
• The gecko’s colouration can be brown or grey and it can transform itself into amazing yellow, green, orange and pink hues.
• Geckos are one of Madagascar’s most unique species. As they sleep flattened against trees of branches with their heads pointing downwards, they can adjust their body coloration to their surroundings.

OUTDOOR JACUZZI ON THE MATTERHORN

This outdoor jacuzzi is part of the Igloo Village, ‘Iglu-Dorf‘, in Zermatt. Guests sleep at an altitude of 2,727 meters (8.946 ft) at the Gornergrat, right next to Switzerland’s most famous mountain, the mighty Matterhorn. The Igloo village typically opens up in December with accommodations for up to 40 overnight guests (although it can handle more for dining and partying during the evening). The coolest feature is surely the two outdoor jacuzzis set directly in the snow covered landscape. Imagine the views you could soak in!

I lost hope and thought that we’ll get divorced soon… But then I decided to act. After all I ’we got the most beautiful woman on earth. She is the idol of more than half of men and women on earth, and I was the one allowed to fall asleep next to her and to hug her. I began to shower her with flowers, kisses and compliments. I surprised and pleased her every minute. I gave her a lot of gifts and lived just for her. I spoke in public only about her. I incorporated all themes in her direction. I praised her in front of her own and our mutual friends. You won’t believe it, but she blossomed. She became better. She gained weight, was no longer nervous and loved me even more than ever. I had no clue that she CAN love that much.

And then I realized one thing: the woman is the reflection of her man.

If you love her to the point of madness, she will become it.

Spider webs on drugs

In 1995, a group of NASA scientists tested the effects of various drugs on a common garden spider’s ability to build webs. Specifically, they got the spiders high on caffeine, marijuana, benzedrine (speed), and chloral hydrate (a common date rape drug) and then analyzed their webs to figure out which drug did the most damage.

To the surprise of Dr. Noever, caffeine did the most damage of all the substances tested. The spider dosed with it proved incapable of creating even a single organized cell, and its web showed no sign of the “hub and spokes” pattern fundamental to conventional web design.
